About Us

My name is Johnny Brown, owner of JBC Termite & Pest Control. I have been in the pest control industry for over 15 years, and pest control has been a major part of my life since I was 19 years old.

After graduating high school, I began working for an orange oil termite company, where I spent several years learning the termite and pest control business. That experience gave me a strong foundation and taught me the importance of doing quality work and taking care of customers.

After that, I began working with my father when he started JBC in Orange County. I helped him build and operate the business, gaining even more experience in the industry and learning what it takes to run a successful pest control company.

In 2021, I moved to San Diego and opened JBC Termite & Pest Control here. Since then, I have been running the San Diego branch independently and personally handling the work for my customers.

One thing that has always been important to me is being honest with my customers. I want to earn your business, but I'm also willing to walk away from a job if I don't believe the service is the right fit for you. Being honest with a customer and knowing I gave them the right advice makes me happier than simply getting another job.

When you hire JBC, you're hiring me. I'm personally at the job site doing the work and making sure it is done correctly. I take pride in being reliable, showing up on time, and standing behind the work I do.

JBC is a family-owned business, and my father continues to operate the Orange County branch. What started with me learning the business at 19 has grown into a family business that continues to serve homeowners in Southern California.

After more than 15 years in the industry, my goal remains simple: be honest with my customers, provide reliable service, and do the job right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our termite warranties are designed to cover the home as a whole, rather than limiting the warranty to only the individual areas where treatment was performed.

In some situations, customers may choose a more limited warranty option at a lower cost. We'll explain the available warranty options before

Yes. We offer after-hours service for restaurants, businesses, and customers who need service outside of normal business hours. If you have an urgent pest-control situation, contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Our goal is to recommend what is actually best for your home, not simply sell you a treatment.

If we determine that a localized treatment isn't the right option for your situation, we'll explain why and point you in the right direction for the treatment that makes the most sense—even if that means referring you to another company.

We would rather give you honest advice than sell you something you don't need.

It depends on the treatment method. If we are performing a chemical treatment, you may need to leave the treated areas or the home for a specified period of time. If we are using gel bait, you can generally remain in the home.

Yes.

A termite inspection takes time and requires us to travel to your property and inspect accessible areas, which may include the attic, crawlspace, exposed wood, and other areas where termite activity may be present.

We charge for our inspection because you're paying for our time, experience, travel, and a thorough evaluation of your home.

If you choose JBC to perform the recommended termite treatment, your inspection fee will be applied toward the cost of the job.

JBC has been operating since 2017, and I have been running the San Diego branch since 2021.

I have been working in the pest control industry since 2011, giving me more than 15 years of experience in the trade.

No. When a localized termite treatment is appropriate, you can usually remain in your home while we take care of the termite issue. We treat the areas where termite activity is found without requiring you to leave your home.
